Camera Control for GoPro App Reviews

the video streaming is so poor, you can’t imagine how it lags. It’s like you have still pictures every 2 seconds. Useless. Even in WGA at 25p. And the quality… worst than the camera from my old nokia. 4€ in the air. Do not buy it!!!!

you can control it from your computer and see a live preview ( not good resolution ) .

NOT WORTH THE MONEY CONNECTS BUT CANT GET IT TO SHOW ANY IMAGE, PREVIEW OR PLAYBACK ON THIS APP.

I’m trying to get the developer to contact me. I sent a report that it wasn’t working. I got a reply that they would get back to me within 72 hours. That was 2 weeks ago. No light t the end of the tunnel.

Now, this App cant work with HERO4. I hope it will be compatible to HERO4/

Applications beyond awful. Live image is too delayed. It comes in dull dull pictures. And lousy image quality. Pity we give money.

not working , is connected but no view in window :(

I was skeptical since no one had reviewd the software. However, it works pretty well if like me, you need to use you mac and not your ipad/iphone.

preview is not working right every thing else is good

this app is crap it doesnt do anything special dont waste your money i would get mine back if i could. the gopro app you download on your phone is 100 times better. the picture quality lags so bad you cant even see whats going on and you cant review anything on your camera. this app is a complete waste of money

This app wont even open. It closes as soon as it opens. FIX THIS!

The app lags much worse than the iphone and ipad app. Don’t waste your money until they fix it. You can use Quicktime or VLC to get the same thing

Does not allow you to preview videos already on the GoPro.

Lag is horrible. Cannot adjust any of the setting due to the program lagging from the get go… Quicktime and VLC work much better. If you have an Andriod device, i highly suggest that as your monitor/remote.. I have it on my galaxy note 2 and it works better than anything I’ve tried thus far. (Oh and I’ll add, the app was FREE…. Unlike all of the apps that are even remotely close to being worth getting in the Apple Store)..

This ap does nothing except spin. I just wasted $3.00 on a useless software that does not work with my my Macbook Pro 10.7.5. Beware

Just downloaded this and it works like a charm. I figure despite the reviews that it might be worth a shot for $3.99. They must have updated it since.

Ignore the negative review of old versions, this works as advertised with a new Hero4 (silver) with Yosemite (10.10.1). Make sure you change the local IP after joining the GoPro network if you want to see the preview, and I had to quit and restart the app after the first pairing setup to get everything working right. For example, right after pairing I could start a recording, but couldn’t stop it! After restarting the app everything seemed to work properly. Warning: all the settings for the camera are sensitive to scrolling (trackpad or mouse), so if the cursor wanders 1cm from the main scrollbar to a setting, you will accidentally change camera settings (no confirmation required.) This happened to me so many times I became totally paranoid whenever having the cursor anywhere near the camera control panel. Bottom line: this was definitely worth the few $$ rather than wait for GoPro to port their own app to MacOS. Pity he bundles the media browser functions separately, ‘tho.

Used at work while on laptop so it was easier to control GoPro recordings instead of using phone.
